Pro Active Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation !

Hypertension Education Classes at Pro Active

In our last issue of Pro Date, we noted that we were setting out to be surveyed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

On June 28 th and 29 th, two CARF surveyors were on site reviewing the smallest of details, down to individual client treatment plans and interviewing staff and clients, in order to ensure compliance with consultation, quality improvement and outcomes standards.

The surveyors submitted a report to CARF, which detailed their results. The following comments convey a brief summary of their report:

“Persons served report a high degree of satisfaction with the services provided. Persons served described personnel as professional, respectful, and compassionate in the delivery of care.”

“West Park Pro Active Healthcare has a very aesthetic physical space that is conducive to the rehabilitation process and provides a respectful, comfortable, and healing environment.”

“A committed and diverse interdisciplinary team is recognized for working together for the benefit of the persons served. Team members communicate effectively regarding care.”

Our services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicated an established pattern of practice excellence and we are pleased to announce that Pro Active Healthcare has successfully been accredited by CARF for a period of three years for both our General Rehabilitation Program and Comprehensive Occupational Rehab program. This accreditation will extend through June 2010 . 

This achievement is indicative of Pro Active Healthcare’s dedication and commitment to helping our clients improve their quality of life.
